Boots Opticians

I hope someone can advise me...... Last week I cancelled my Boots Opticians Monthly Vision Plan (which I have been on for a few years now). Since cancelling, another payment came out of my account; so I contacted Customer Services to find out how my overpayments would be refunded.
The lady I spoke to told me that I had around £60 overpaid, but, because I am cancelling, I have to pay a £10 administration fee. I told her that the lady in the store hadn't mentioned this last week; only to be told "it's in the terms and conditions". She then said she was going to put £50 back into my account.
Unfortunatley, I haven't (and don't know if I ever had) a copy of their terms and conditions. I have done a search on the web for these, but have found nothing.
Is this normal to be charged a fee to cancel?? I feel that as I have been with them for many years, this shouldn't be the case.

Why dont you go back to the shop and ask them for a copy of the terms and conditions. It's a bit of a cheek to be charging you an admin fee to cancel your plan and if it was me I'd be complaining about it. I've never been charged to cancel anything.
I've been caught out with payments being taken after services cancelled so now I always cancel the direct debit with my bank at the same time.
