Driveway..how much sand is needed?

To fill in the gaps between the bricks? and how long does it take to bed in..i.e do we need to apply more than 1 lot.
We bought a new build 9 months ago and they came out today and filled it but there are still odd gaps..what sand do they use? would ahve asked but they left without saying!!

Kiln dried silver sand. It's very fine stuff. It must be dry to use.0
