Airbag light stays on and has been traced back to a side airbag wire fault. How much is that likely to cost to fix please? would there be a way to turn it off to make it safe ie not explode etc

    any ideas?
  • very common fault,

i ten minute fix if you know what your doing,

under the seat (you didnt say which side fault) is an orange plug, this is your fault.

2 ways of doing it, either:

1: unplug, clean with electrical clean, replug 2gether and wait for light to come baqck on in the near future.

2: if cut the plug out and resolder the wires 2gether.

EITHER WAY, DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE STARTING THE PROCESS, OTHERWISE YOU WILL EITHER LEAVE THE FAULT IN THE COMPUTER OR WORSE SET THE AIRBAG OFF.

I would state if your not qualified or competent dont do!!!
I maybe crap with money but im good with cars;)
