hi i have some photo's stored in a "my documents" folder
they are just over 2MB in size
but i need to reduce them to below 1MB in size....
how can i do this? is it possible?
i took them using my own digital camera and uploaded them with the software provided, and then transfered them to another folder, and they all seem to be around 2MB
can i get the file size down?
thanks

Open the image with Irfanview here for free and then do File, Save As and move the Save Quality slider across to the left, say 70% and give a new filename when saving as a jpg. Some experimentation may be required with the percentage figure but the filesize will reduce significantly. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Another standalone resizer here which has batch resizing/renaming and other features:

Or download their photo editor which has the same features built into it:

For future use, if you're using Windows XP then they made a powertoy called Image Resizer that you can download and run that is very good for dealing with not only individual pictures, but entire folders of them quickly..0

I would like to resize a picture to make a skin for Bebo. I downloaded Ifran, but when I try to put in the dimensions I want it keeps changing them. It won't let me put in the dimensions I want. I would desparately like to use this picture for my Bebo skin.Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time0
