Laptop hard drive interface and capacity - Quick Question

I'm looking to purchase the smallest capacity SATA hard drive for my laptop.

I've checked on eBay and in general the smalled SATA is 40GB, anything less seems to be IDE interface.

I realise that SATA is a relatively new interface so my question is in general is the smallest SATA hard drive for a laptop 40GB?

Ideally I would like a 10GB or 20GB SATA hard drive.

Is there any reason you want such a small drive when nowadays many larger capacities are available? You can never have enough storage!

Although why not have more? A 80Gb Fujitsu SATA drive for a laptop at Scan is only £1.52 more than a 40Gb drive, that's another 40Gb extra for under £2! I think you'd be crazy to install a 40Gb drive at that price differential.

Edited to add - I can't find any under 40Gb at all.

Want it small as possible because it is only for test purposes and to edit my Acronis images, smaller is better since it formats, wipes quicker.

Have had a close look at eBay it seems that 40GB is the lower limit for SATA.
Looking to get a used one of those for under £12.50.
