I've no idea about markdowns in other departments unfortunately as I only deal with lighting.

thanks, picked the main and side lights up yesterday in Sheffield. Nice staff. Also some little glass shades for another light in the house for £2 each, completely transform it. The colour is not to my taste, but can easily paint it - I quite fancy trying to jazz them up with leaves twisted round and stuff - if I ever get round to it!

Thanks very much for the stock information - I picked up a couple of these to replace horrid spotlight fittings, and was lucky enough to get two of the last three in the store! Even the staff were marvelling at the markdown.

Anyone into shabby chic, you could spray paint them white or cream and add crystal droplets to look like a chandelier type of thing.

I went into John Lewis at Liverpool 1 and there were none left. However, they were very happy to ring Trafford and Cheadle stores where they were in stock and I ordered and paid over the phone and they are going to delivery for free! Great service. Might be worth a call to see if they still have them in stock.

Thanks, managed to get some from Cribsway, the lady said they were now out of stock, thanks to OP for this. Does anyone know the original price? Not that we're not getting a fantastic bargain but it would be interesting to know the original rrp.
