It's not just melons that would affect - I've often had really, really rubbish fruit from the supermarket - I get oranges so sour I find myself scraping my tongue, peaches 'to ripen' which I try every day and go from rock hard to incredibly mouldy overnight (and I don't mean I sit there and buise them till they go mouldy) and bananas which are victims of physical abuse - covered in bruises the next day!

I'm glad it's not just me then. I've given up on Mr T's nectarines, peaches and plums.
    I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

if we don't complain it will never change - i get on my high horse about this a bit - so please forgive me - but if I can't be bothered to waste the petrol taking something back I email them so they know something wasn't up to par. If we accept and keep buying we are saying the quality level is acceptable - doesn't that make us partly to blame. The older I get the better (or bolshier!) i get about not accepting bad goods or service - and I always do it so calmly with such a lovely smile that nobody gets upset.
