X-Box offer @ Toys`R`us

Just been to Toys`r`us and picked up a sale leaflet as i walked through the door.Looking through it i saw a great offer for a X-Box with 3 top games for £99.99 but if you use the £10 off coupon on the back of said leaflet you can get the x-box for £89.99. So off i went to the games section to pick up my x-box only to find out that the offer has been scrapped due to shortage of stock.
The offer is supposed to last until 19/11/04 as stated on the front of the sale leaflet.
I asked the assistant why it was still being advertised then and he didn`t know. So after arguing to the store manager that if it`s still on offer then i should be able to get 1 and being told that i cant, i want to know where i we stand in this.
1- Sale leaflet says £99.99 , all offers valid until 19/11/04
2- Store scrapped the offer without any notices in the store to say that it was .
Surely they must sell whats in the sale leaflet?
Cheers for any help
Andy

Unless they have a 'while stocks last' disclaimer, then they are accountable.
I suggest you contact head office Customer Services. They should see it your way... although it depends on how much time you want to spend on 'saving' a tenner.
From their point of view it's a no-win situation not to let you have the Xbox for the advertised price - they'll still make a profit on a £10 off coupon and they'll keep a customer happy (who, they hope, will buy more Xbox games from them).CarQuake / Ergo Digital0 -
Forget head office - I would go to trading standards (part of your local council).

Trading Standards is a good option, but may take more time up and take longer to process.
Still suggest Customer Service a good starting point, it could be resolved very quickly!CarQuake / Ergo Digital0
