ONLY's Insurance feedback

  • Hi there, I've been researching contents insurance and have, via a comparison site, obtained a quote which knocks all others into a cocked hat. Only Insurance have quoted an £85.12p annual premium with a £150 excess. This includes Freezer and Money & Credit card cover. Has anyone had any problems with insurance/claims obtained through Only Insurance?
  • first time used site but does not appear to be a secure site
  • Matched confused with my lowest buildings and contents quote and seemed easier and quicker to use. One quirk - assumed I was a dog owner until I selected No.
    Springsteen obsessive
  • I had the same problem, probably because I use Mozilla Firefox, just because (some people think) it's "better" than IE doesn't mean to say every site tests with it.

Not impressed... Tried to enter occupation (model maker) and business, no lists appeared with suggestions... Tried Pattern Making, Architect and Modelmaking in the Business box all rejected. Won't be going back.

  • Would not accept that I did not accept their Privacy Policy - I thought they had to give the option on this legally.
  • First I confess I am baffled as to the average input times on all the various sites , 7 minutes? How? 3 minutes for Only Insurance, it takes longer to read their unusable terms and conditions
I have just tried the Only Insurance site, the privacy policy is quite ridiculous, unless you give them permission to have your details (including financial) and let them do what they want with it you can go no further so I have given up, the worst of the comparison sites by a mile , I am surprised you advertise it

I've been looking for contents insurance for my daughter and her young son who have just moved into a rented property. She doesnt need covering for a huge amount, but needs accidental damage and no voluntary excess. This site came up with by far the cheapest quote - £87 with only £50 excess!
