yes but would be true of my two nearest Argos stores, not saying they are all as bad but I have been in just as they have been open to try and save the wait and still waited 20 minutes for my items to then be told " oh sorry sir we dont have that item, even though it says we have 100 in stock!"
I only go there as I regularly get giftcards to spend in there. They dont get my cash!0 -
Must admit I'm not a fan of Argos.
Do most of my shopping online and normally via Quidco to get the Cashback0 -
It was only at some distribution centres, not stores, although the impact maybe some stock is not replenished as quick as it would have been otherwise.
The strike action is expected to affect four of Argos' 15 distribution centres based in Basildon, Bridgwater, Heywood and Magna Park in Leicestershire.

Basildon and Bridgwater - only the best places0

The Distribution centres are due to strike on Thursday 17th July 2008.
There will be two 24 hour strikes and one 4 day strike due for the end of the month. They are picketing for a better and more fair pay award. They are also against the idea of bringing in monthly pay, as opposed to weekly pay. This would disrupt the delivery of items to stores around the UK.
Argos staff would hope to count on your support during this time.
Thanks :beer:0 -
Was that a post from Argos?0

No, just a member of staff. I will be joining the picket line.

One thing Labour have done, they have made strikes and picket lines fashionable again.
You can always rely on a Labour government - political joke - sorry0
