Ideas to make £50-100 by December?

  • You could look at the gambling offers board - if you can spare some money for a week, you could make the £100 easily by December. You would need a delta/switch card.

It isn't easy, you will need to invest time to ensure you understand the method & search websites for matches. But it can be done from home in your own time.

Obviously to be avoided if you have any gambling issues. The amount of risk is very small, ie. will William Hill go bust in the 3 hours they have my money? and the returns are good, but it isn't suitable for everyone.

My sister also works for a silver service/waiting at functions agency in Edinburgh, it's called Prestige. I know that they do have other regional branches, though, as they offered to transfer her when she came home for the holidays (she's a student there). They do some really good things too - she was serving at a Channel 4 televised event on Saturday and regularly serves some very interesting people.

  • Have you thought about working at evening functions? My sister does this for a few places through a temp agency. They ring her up a couple of times a week looking for extra staff for weddings, Christmas parties, gallery openings etc. She usually earns about £30 for an evening, plus tips sometimes, and regularly ends up with lots of half bottles of wine which have been opened, plus lots of finger food and sandwiches etc to take home!

Now is the right time to apply, and another advantage is that you don't have to work for them regularly, it's more "as and when", so if you've already made plans, you don't HAVE to work when they call.

    Just a thought...

Catering agencies don't usually ask for a lot of experience either (although you will need black and whites), Blue Arrow have a lot of branches, and while they are disorganised, I always got plenty of work out of them, from working on hotdog stands at football matches to silver service waitressing in posh hotels.

Why don't you try greasypalm or rpoints

and sign up for lots of freebies - with determination you can get up to £25 with gp fairly easily - get dvd rental trials and make sure you cancel (assuming you can't afford them). apply for all sorts of things. you also get points for signing up to lots of gaming sites so you might be able to increase your earnings if you are thinking of taking that route.

do you have a car? - local delivery firms may want drivers and you can always quit after you've got enough.

if your credit rating is up to it you could open a new bank account that pays you cash for paying your salary in (if you don't want to move you can always take it out again straight away and pay it into you old a/c). you might not get the cash before christmas, but you'll know it's coming.
