HERE'S THE BEST WAY
Find the PG Tips Grommit mugs in the supermarket (if you are lucky) for £2.66 and sell them on ebay. 6 mugs should do it.

black-saturn wrote:I thought it was OK to copy the disc for your own use? If its illegal why do they sell CD writers in shops?
It's ok to have a "back-up" of your own CDs as long as you still have the orginal. So it's ok to copy your CDs to play in the car as long as you have the original at home.
As soon as you sell the original it is no longer a "back-up" of something you own, it is an illegal copy.
Otherwise it would be legal to buy a CD from a shop copy it and take it back0 -
Have you thought about working at evening functions? My sister does this for a few places through a temp agency. They ring her up a couple of times a week looking for extra staff for weddings, Christmas parties, gallery openings etc. She usually earns about £30 for an evening, plus tips sometimes, and regularly ends up with lots of half bottles of wine which have been opened, plus lots of finger food and sandwiches etc to take home!
Now is the right time to apply, and another advantage is that you don't have to work for them regularly, it's more "as and when", so if you've already made plans, you don't HAVE to work when they call.
Just a thought...

What agency does she work for? I wouldn't know where to start with finding a place that does that, but it sounds really good!Pay off CC debt by Xmas 2017 #095 £0 of £11,416 :eek:0

That sounds like a brilliant idea! Could you also let me know which agency she belongs too!

I may be wrong but I assume MSE does not wish to encourage illegal copying of copyright material.
Presumably Robert, you have NO video copies or recordings of copyright material off the TV gathering dust on your shelves?
You do know that technically it's illegal to keep VHS recordings beyond a certain period, right?
I mean, if we're going to be a stickler about these things.
Plus I hope there isn't any copyright material stored on your hard disk - outside the temporary internet cache. Technically that too is illegal.
I could go on. But life's too short.0 -
She works for a local agency in Edinburgh, don't know the name of it but I can try to find out. You could try asking around at local hotels etc, to see who they use. It's really just a bit of walking around with drinks and then silver service at the meals. Hard on the feet but good for the wallet! I think "Kelly" is a national agency which takes on catering staff, give them a google. High Society is a London based one (just found it on the web).

They prefer to take teenagers so they can pay them less, and most have moved on to better things and been replaced with more teenagers by the time they'd be old enough for full adult minimum wage.
This is entirely untrue!
Most McDs would prefer a more mature person as they are more reliable, more professional, hard working (no disrespect to teenagers here) and relate better to customers. The hours can be very flexible, if you do go down this road I wouldn't mention you're only looking for a couple of months work make it seem longer term. The work is by no means easy physically and some of the managers are McHeads (they live, breathe & sh*t McDonalds) but other than that it can be quite a laugh.0
