The fact is that Dark Star's card did not show a fraudulent purchase shortly after the call. Dark Star did not receive the call, he/she posted an email he/she received about a call. Its a friend-of-a-friend story for the electronic generation, it is prime urban myth material.dark_star wrote:Hi guys,
I was emailed this at work, it's obviously American in origin, but worth bearing in mind.... d_s
WARNING...New Credit Card Scam.
Note, the callers do not ask for your card number; THEY already have it. This information is worth reading.......They also urged us to tell everybody we know that this scam is happening.
But as I have said, it is a timely reminder and dark star isn't out to gain anything, so fair play.0 -
Hi dudes,
Just to clarify, I didn't take offence to any replies *group hug*
..and....If I implied that I was the victim of this fraud, then that is not the case
This was no more than an email sent to me by a colleague at work.(but I thought it was worth sharing with my virtual buddies)
Hope that clears it up.....before this thread goes on its holidays to the credit card board via the powers of my old pal Ark :jI'm only here for the banter0 -
I've moved the thread to Credit Cards, as it's better suited there.

If they refuse to answer then I tell them to write to me ....usually its an offer that I'm not interested in ....2014 Target;
