My boyfriend and i are looking to go to oludeniz in turkey around mid september, the cheapest quote we have is £339 each based on 10 nights b and B. My query is: is it worth waiting til the week or so before to get the best deal?will the price keep going up?or will travel agents want to get rid of them by then for a cheap price?
thank in anticipation for your help....

I've been wondering the same thing, me and my boyfriend are looking for 2 weeks in Turkey for under £250-300. The best websites so far have been IceLolly.com or teletext.com, both have given great quotes then you ring them up and they say the price is contantly changing? Teletext has two weeks in Marmaris for £241+transfers.
BTW It seems to be cheaper to go for 14 nights compared to 10 nights, probably as the foremost is chartered already.0 -
Who can tell what prices are going to do?
My guess is that at the last minute there will be some unsold holidays going cheap, but they may not be in the resort (or even the country) that you want. If you are determined to go to a specific place, and for ten days rather than seven, I suggest you use all the tricks that Martin has suggested to get what you want at a price that you are willing to pay. And if that price is still high enough for the agent to make a few pounds profit, well, it means that when you want a holiday next year there will still be a travel agent left to find one for you.0 -
Only ever went for a last-minute cheapie package once. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
True it had air-conditioning - but only in the bar/lounge - and that didn't work! I could go on...........
As Voyager says, there will be some that are left over and discounted, but they will be left and discounted for a reason.0
