I have loads of WMP clips emailed to me by friends, and I would like to post some in the MSE Arms but don't know how.
I tried copying and pasting the link given on the emails, but as it has dots in the middle to shorten it, it copies those and then I can't open it. I looked at properties but there is nothing there.
There is probably a very simple way, but I'm not that techie and have no idea.
Can anyone help, please?

Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Are the clips actually in the e-mail, or are you clicking on a link which takes you to a site (like YouTube) that plays them?Dave. :wave:0

Ah, so sorry, I used the wrong terminology. The clips are sent to me as an WMP attachment, not a link - ie the file name given by whoever is sending them.
I have gone to one of these attachment and clicked on file and it asks me where I want to save it - doing so it gives what looks like a complete file name. Would it be worth me trying to upload this filename to tinypic/videos or ImageShack/videos. If not, what?
Thanks.
EDIT LATER - IT DIDN'T WORK!

If the files are sent to you in the e-mail, you'll need to upload them to somewhere that takes clips. You can then link to them for everyone to see.
Well it looks that typing out my problem (ie writing it down) caused the solution to present itself to me. But your asking about whether it was actually a link is what pointed me in the right direction. As I said, I'm not that techie.
Thank you so much

Nope. I have uploaded a clip to tinypic on video mode, it converts it and I can see the clip very well, then when I copy the link for forums etc, it pastes it in my editing post, part in black print, part in blue. Then when I submit the post, it disappears so that the link is not posted.
The only thing that I can post is this link for emails, http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2d0b8yx&s=3 which of course can't be opened on the forum.
Any suggestions, anyoneBe careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
