DVD Recorder Help

Hi,

I bought Acousric DVD Recorder today from Argos.

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5336779/Trail/searchtext%3EACCUSTIC+DVD+RECORDER.htm

I have copied a VHS to DVD+R. The website says 3 hours of recording but it only copied 2 hours worth of Video. Any idea why this has happened? and how to record it for 3 hours?

Thanks
MS

I did read the manual but cannot find why it recorded only for 2 hours when it was listed for 3 hours. Any help please? Thanks

Has it got a long/short play/recording option the same as video recorders used to have?

Suggest looking at your options/ preferences and seeing if there's a resolution setting, which you can change to get more recording time. It would reduce the resolution, however; but it could give you the three hours you're trying to get.

Most recorders have at least 3 settings for record -- High Quality = 1Hr, SP = 2Hr & EP = 3 Hr -- the default is SP -- My Sony allows for up to 12 Hours (using a Dual Layer Disk) -- Dave

if it's the same as the Wharfdale similar models then you need to change the recording mode as per previous posts, there is a section in the manual detailing it and teh approximate recording lengths each quality gives, you should use the LP setting I think on those models
