if Xp
If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
When you are finished with all troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally wouldEx forum ambassador

Whats the purpose of this?, not many av packs will run in safe mode as they install services which aren't loaded thenclick here to achieve nothing!0

I'm not sure about Vista, but to run some anti-virus products in Xp you need to select 'Safe Mode with Networking'. Like I say though, not sure if that's the same with Vista.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. It can be useful for running anti spyware. For example, some bits of malware won't be removed properly when you fix them with spybot search and destroy, unless you're running in safe mode.Russia is HERE0 -

TBH if the infection is this deep, it can be a long drawn out process and any damage done may not be repaired.
This can leave you exposed to other possible infections and other problems.
Consider wiping the system and re-installing windows after backing up your data.click here to achieve nothing!0 -
really? for webmail? i'd understand more if it were Outlook Express.
tbh, i wonder if it was someone hacking direct into my webmail, cos i recently !!!!ed off a "friend" (by having my own opinion) and he's capable of doing stuff and not leaving a trace. it was his wife who alerted me and said it was a virus, so i only have her word for it.If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all
