My daughter has the old style ds and one of the hinges, then the other snapped. The ds is about 2 years old but well out of guarantee. Contacted Nintendo via website, was send pre paid labels to return it to them, which I did, they then returned it with new casing within a week a no charge.
Well impressed.

In my experience, they'll repair anything, reciept or otherwise
I've sent back a water damaged DS, one with broken hinges and a couple of battered GBs.

Useful to know thanks, my DS' D-pad doesnt have the same 'clickiness' as others, probably through too much force being used during mario kart. Might try and send it back for a free repair as it's £40 through a third party.matched betting: £879.63
