flights from Scotland to Valencia (Spain)

I am struggling to find flights from Scotland (preferably Edinburgh) to Valencia in Spain with a budget airline. However, I'm aware there is probably a way to do it via budget airlines if you know which routes to take. I don't want to fly to Alicante but I don't mind flying to another UK airport before flying to Valencia. I want to be in Valencia for the Tomato throwing festival on 27th August 2008, so need to arrive before that date and can stay for up to 2 weeks. Please can anyone help?

Ryanair fly from Liverpool to Valencia. Out on Sun 24 Aug back on Sun 7th Sept £108. Go out on Monday 25th and it's under £60

If you are considering multiple flights to get to Valencia remember that it's YOUR responsibility to make the connection and if you miss a flight YOU'LL have to pay for a brand new ticket.

I can't see the point of flying to Liverpool or Leeds/Bradford to make a flight to Valencia, you may as well fly to Stansted / Gatwick / Dublin / Amsterdam and connect through there - the overall prices are likely to be lower

HOWEVER as you are considering flying somewhere else first, why don't you look at someone like Kayak who'll give a quote for Scotland to Valencia via some other airport where you won't lose out if you miss a connection

This may be cutting your nose off to spite your face! There are far more flights to Alicante which would improve your chances of getting a local flight.

I know it's 200 km to Bunol/Valencia, but it's motorway all the way.

And, as AR has said, low-cost carriers don't worry about your connections.

You could fly Edinburgh to Murcia, Jet2 do this route, making the distance to Valencia even shorter. Have a look at this website for your options on getting there:

whoops sorry (still half asleep!) ignore last post - Murcia is further from Valencia than Alicante!
