Italy Holidays Cheapo from Scotland?

How come it's so hard to get a holiday from Scotland to Italy during the summer? No budget airlines seem to go to Sorrento and i'm having real difficulty finding a decent priced holiday to that area leaving from glasgow thru the normal holiday operators. Any suggestions welcome. cheers:rolleyes:

We didn't do this trip from Scotland - we live in the North of England - but I'm sure you would be able to do this from Glasgow. We flew budget (Jet2) to Rome, had four days there and then got the train to Naples to connect to the Vesuviana railway to get to Sorrento. It's a hassle I know but Italian train fares are really cheap and it worked out much cheaper than an organised two-centre package holiday. Watch your wallet though at both Rome and Naples railway stations - notorious for pickpockets!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
