    My dear sweet baby dalip,

What a truly awful few days, and to one such as you, is a complete travesty of circumstance. If you were close enough in the real world I'd breathe some fire and life bak into you with my heavily scented whisky breath.:eek: I don't normally drink whisky this early, but I think I might be joining you on the unemployed register, if I don't keep my mouth shut, and never managed to yet.:rolleyes:

Just a couple of technical points from an ex sub-postmaster:
    • Recorded delivery is signed on receipt, but doesn't guarantee the day or time of delivery.
    • Special delivery guarantees delivery the next day before 1pm, and is signed for.
If you paid £5 then it would be Special delivery.

Early discharge is a big shot in the arm, not talking from personal experience, but in the overall scheme of things, it really doesn't matter that much.

Good luck with the long tube tests, and make sure you extract some reward from your O.H for writing to his creditors.

Hi dalip, just sending you another big hug,and if it makes you feel any better I am also off to hospital next week for tests involving a very long pipe-ooh and a camera:o
I have had a couple of important letters go missing this last month, including one sent special delivery, and I am still fighting the CTC people over a repayment they are demanding following a missing declaration 3 years ago,so deffinitely know how you feel, although it seems in your case it may end rather better with a bit of luck and a tail wind!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

    Hi dalip,

I realise why ED is so important, and it is so frustrating when Royal Mail or the O.R make a balls up of things.

How do guys get away with things like that?:confused: I have to confess to drinking to excess (I'll drink to anything) when we were going through our darkest hours, but it was always me running around and doing all the donkey work.

Maybe it's just me that's a sucker for those "come to bed eyes" but not until you've got everything done.

Come to think of it, I'd do just about anything if the reward was a stocking clad babe in high heels, with a glint in her eyes, and a glass in her hand.:D :D
