CSL, SCS sofa companies

Hiya all iam after a bit of moneysaving advice we are after buying a new suite for our front room and we are stuck between two, one at csl and one at scs when we did are preliminary look at CSL the shop assistant said they only offer the price on the label and dont haggle?
is this true or will they drop the price if i tried?
Can anyone help

    The price you pay, is relative to the quality you get.

    if you pay £800 for a suite (3 seater recliner in leather, with 2 seater to match) that lasts 3 years, then its cheap. If it lasts 6months then its not cheap.

    Try mid week, might get a better offer when the shops are dead and salesmen are sat around.

    I'm reliably informed by someone who works at SCS that they are seriously in the brown stuff at the moment. He says that they were hoping for a buy-out but apparently it's not happened. Potential victims of the credit crunch?
