Hi
We have had problems for the last few weeks when we try to get on to the National Trust web site, we are putting in the correct address www.nationaltrust.org.uk, but we keep getting page not found, we have also tried to access it through links but are still getting the same message. We have contacted the National Trust and they have tried using AOL the same as us and have accessed it with no problems, can anyone advise us what to do and what is wrong with it? We are not having any problems accessing other sites on this one.
Thanks

Can you open a DOS prompt and type :-
Ping https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk
And report what the IP address is, it's giving you back, should be something like
[217.140.44.12]A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0 -
No problems with the www.nationaltrust.org.uk site. Try using OpenDNS here. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

If you are having a problem and others aren't, you should contact your internet provider, as there may be an issue with their servers, accidentally or otherwise blocking traffic from the NT website.0

As a non AOL user this is just a shot in the dark, but doesn't AOL provide a facility to block certain websites to protect children from seeing what they shouldn't? Perhaps you have accidentally set a block for this web address.
