route planning multiple destinations

Does anyone know the name of a programme which I could buy (if I can't get it free!) where I can enter up to 48 postcodes and it will plan the most economical and sensible route to follow in a car. I have looked online, but most seem to offer route planning without putting destinations in most sensible order. Thanks

  • Google Maps will do this. Plan a route from A to Z, and then simply drag the route to each postcode area and it will modify accordingly.

Google maps won't find the shortest route between 48 postcodes, it will plot a route between them all, but it won't tell you which to go to first, second, etc., if you don't know already.

CoPilot Live is the best product in that its Optimize feature will actually tell you which stops to go to first, second and third.

AFAIK, it only does 10 stops though.

I think the Business product does 50, but you need a PC.

A google search: http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=100&hl=en&safe=off&q=route+optimization&meta= reveals plenty more
