Saving money in Italy?

My family and I are shortly moving to Italy. Would anybody know ways we can save money and avoid problems with day to day issues?
I'm wondering about things like mobile phones, landlines, internet, gas and electricity, buying or renting a property, taxes, car insuurance, home insurance and health insurance... Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
