From memory, it takes 24 hours to get to the departure gates from check-in!

Gave them a ring and they said - The airport area is closed but you can sit inside around the coffee area.

No it is not as far as facilites are concerned on short hall flights but there are cold drinks machines around if desperate in the departure area.
