I found a good deals on http://www.cheapholidaydeals.co.uk/. Booked a self catering week in Turkey for £230 pp.
Flights alone were going to cost more than that!

    Good luck!

Look on the first choice website.
But prices are rising due to demand. The holiday i booked on Friday ( departing 21st July ) has increased from £612 to £718 for the two of us.
There were some deals around £500 ( for 2 people) departing this coming week.

If you find anything under £300 per person , then thats a good price.

    Edit:::

Just found a fantastic deal departing on the 14th from east mids
1 week on a gulet cruise in Turkey
£485 for two people full board

Horrible flight times but you also get premium flights ( free drinks, more legroom , pre-booked seats and bigger luggage allowance)
    This is a giveaway..
    This is on www.firstchoice.co.uk
  • with Firstchoice the price you see is not the price you pay, they add all sorts on - fuel surcharges, booking fees, ticket on departure etc etc - adds almost as much as the holiday on - same with Thomas Cook
  • I have been looking for a cheap holiday for a few weeks and they don't seem to exist this year. My best advice is to choose a destination where you can find a low cost flight. The cheapest destinations are normally the airports where you will find most flights going to. Somewhere like Malaga, Alicante, Palma or even Pisa in Italy. Then check for a deal on a hotel on one of the hotel consolidators sites. The hotel site I have used a couple of times is http://www.roomstostay.co.uk They have a really good selection of beach holiday apartments. Also use a website that sells the holidays of all the main tour operators not just their own. You get a better selection of deals.

If I was looking for a last minute holiday I'd certainly consider Ocean Village cruising. We have just come back from a wonderful 7 day cruise with them around the Med.

Try www.idealcruising.co.uk We booked with them one week before the cruise and I think got an additional 5% off, compared to the Ocean Village website. We paid £670 each for a cabin with balcony which is 67% cheaper than the brochure price

I can't praise the holiday enough. OV are very informal, no regimented dinner times and dressing up. What I liked best was that we got to visit several destinations in France and Italy (Tunis also but we stayed on the ship) but only stayed one day at each place. Other times we just spent sunbathing on the top deck by the pool (or in my case shade bathing !).

I honestly can't wait to book another one !

When you go on the firstchoice website it tells you the total price ( and early on in the booking process).
It does not add any extras on. In fact it usually gives you options to reduce the price ( removing in-flight meals and reducing baggage allowance or even removing transfers).
Its much better than mytravel - where the price jumps up dramatically from what comes up in the search when you click on it .
