I had to reinstall everything, I dont seem to have MS office on there anymore, have I lost it or is it hidding somewhere? I still seem to have the saved files on there!! I have old office disks but no cd key number sticker!!

this is a free alternative to office
http://download.openoffice.org/
just use "save as" to save in a word format
or go to tools , Options , Load/Save, General
choose a document type and then select Always save as
repeat for each document type and then click on okEx forum ambassador

Hi, by default, all programs get installed into the Program Files folder on your hard drive 'C'.
Open My Computer, double click drive 'C' and this will list the folders. In this list will be Program Files. Double click this - if Microsoft Office is listed, you may be okay. Within here will be the office folder and all the files to run Office. You are looking for Excel.exe, Winword.exe, Powerpnt.exe
Alternatively, you can click the Start button, click Search, go to 'For Files or Folders, and in the search box type winword.exe. This will tell you exactly where it's installed if you still have it.
Good luck!0 -
Try and open a MS Word document from one of your files.
If MS Word is still on the computer it will open it.0
