travelers cheques

Hi all........ A Newbie here!
I've been waching the site & forum for a while now & picked up some good tips!

I'm off to zante next week with the family :j & I'm just sorting out the spends
I've got me post office credit card for the purchases (as per MSE)...but what about the cash?
I've always used travelers cheques but does anyone use them anymore?
I have current accounts (debit cards) with abbey & HSBC
would i be better using ATM's?

Thanks in advance ..

Abbey and HSBC are among the higher charging cards so will be only be marginally cheaper than getting cash here at an average rate.

You may be able to get a better rate (for cash) in resort if you shop around, but no guarantees.

TCs are the most expensive (and inflexible) way - their only advantage IMO is that they are replaceable if lost.
