I I'm 47 and still do not know my right from my left. When someone asked me to turn right (or left) I have to asked myself which hand do I write with!

And I thought that was just my problem! :o

I too work in IT and 'think outside the box' - maybe we are wired differently to 'normos'?

  • On a similar note - has anyone out there being diagnosed with dyscalculia?

    It's like maths dyslexia.

I was confirmed as having it at the grand old age of 28 and it affects my concepts of numbers, time and spatial reasoning.

Basically, I can write an essay or letter no problems, but can't do change from a pound, and would happily believe you if you told me 300 people could comfortably fit in my small front room.

I've never met anyone else with dyscalculia, though apparently two per cent of the population suffer from it.

2% of the population could fit into a small front room I believe :rotfl:

Hi my oldest daughter has dyslexia & her stm is shocking - was told by the experts that she will learn to compensate & do things outside the box - this is totally true, but if you give her 3 things to do I can guarantee only 2 max will be done so lists seems to be the answer (she does occasionally forget where she has put the list tho lol)

Pleeeeeeeease don't make me count them, my head will explode after 104..two per cent of the world's population IS more than 104, isn't it?
