Confused with CDL

I've been accepted for a CDL loan with RBS and recieved the loan information etc. However, i am confused with the "CDL Course Start Notification form", RBS require this before they release any funds but you cannot send this in until the official start to your course.....but you have to pay for the course before you start??

Can anyone clarify how this works because i am mightly confused

for a postgrad course i paid by installments through the year, and didn't pay the first bill until a couple of weeks in. has your course asked for full payment in advance then?

Yeah the first payment is due the 21st August and the start date is the 27th August. I would be fine putting the amount on a credit card for the 7 days. However this form goes onto state

"to be completed by learning provider - payments will be made electronically please provide sortcode and account number.

Thus the money will be sent to them - Am very confused :S

sorry, i don't know what to suggest in that case. can you speak to the uni and see what they say? you can't be the only person in this position and they must have standard ways of dealing with it.

I had to pay a bit before my course started. A few weeks in the Co-op paid all of the fee part of the CDL to my uni but as I had already paid a bit myself my uni had been overpaid. The finance dept at the uni refunded me the part that I had paid.
