Alicante from Newcastle/Durham Tees

Can anyone give me some tips for booking a holiday/flights from Durham Tees/Newcastle to Alicante for next year, we want to go for 3 nights in June or September for 2 people any board basis (first time away without the Kids). We have always booked packages but are willing to book everything individually. You hear about all these cheap flights but when would I start looking and what sort of price would a flight be. Ive been looking at the Thomson and easy jet web sites so far but would be grateful for any info from anyone who flies this route regulary.
Thank you

  • Hi, we too are looking for a cheap break next June. Will wait for Ryanair to bring out flights for Alicante but I was wondering where you were planning on staying? It will just be myself and hubby and want somewhere not far from ALicante (so we do not pay ridiculous taxi transfers), doesn't necessarily need to have a beach but just somewhere nice for a chill out for 3 days ...

Any suggestions for resorts close to Alicante without the extortionate transfer costs - don't fancy benidorm unless there is a nice quiet part!

Sorry we are planning on stopping in Benidorm, booked transfers last year for my mam and they were not too expensive. Thanks for the replies.
