oh dear.... do you have accidental damage insurance on your contents policy?I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

If it's going to be saved, I'd expect the same solution as for a mobile to be the most likely one to work.
Do not switch it on, open it as much as possible and dry it out in the hotpress for a week or so and then try to switch it on.
Wouldn't hold much hope though.0 -
            Remove the batteries too.Charlie0

not sure about the insurance will check though, i have taken the battery out and left it open butits only a small section that opens where the battery slides in and out (whats a hot press) oh well at least i ad downloaded all the photos from it, it was great while it lasted, just havent got my own camera for the wedding now .................now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0

If you've removed the battery and memory card and left it to dry out there is hope... remember that these things will be designed to cope with a bit rain so there's a chance they might survive a dunking if rescued quickly. Just don't be tempted to re-insert the battery and test it too soon - give it at least 2-3 days to dry our properly. A desiccant such as silica gel or those £1 shop shoe freshener sachet things might help.0
