Hotels in LONDON

hi ,

Wondering if anyone can help maybe going to London?? depending if we can get a cheapish hotel? ......... as long as its clean & in the centre so we wont be spending a fortune on travel etc........ we would need a family room......

Also while im posting this what would be best & cheapest sites to see? as we are planning on being there for 5 days.........

So any one with any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated:beer:

    Try the Travelodge Website www.travelodge.co.uk

I went in January with my hubby and we stayed at the Travelodge in City Road. We paid £26 for the room per night but I see that it is approx £79 per night now. It is a fairly new Travelodge and the rooms were fine. It was about a five minute walk from MOORGATE tube station on the Northern Line. Area is good and it is only about 15 mins from Moorgate into the main tourist areas.

I would definately stay there again. :D

    Hi Rachel,

Just wondered if you could tell me if that Travelodge has air conditioning in the rooms please?

    Many thanks,

    Samantha

    Hi Samantha

I don't think Travelodge have air conditioning. The rooms have a heater which may blow out cold but I'm not sure of that.

You could always check their website www.travelodge.co.uk

I would also recommend Travelodges, Ive stayed in quite a few down in London and theyre always clean and cheap and a good base for a trip in the capital!

Also, depending on your budget, you could also have a look at apartments. This May, me and 4 other girls stayed in an apartment in LDN which was gorgeous, like home from home, which would be nice and spacious if you're going as a family. It worked out wayy cheaper than hotel rooms between us wouldve.

Id also say travel lodge or try easyhotels (same company as easyjet)

Ive booked with them for November, as for location near to Earls Court, the price was amazing, tho the rooms are very basic.

Lots of the Muesums in London are free, such as the National History Muesum.

    Thanks Rachel,

    Sorry for delay in responding.

We actually stayed in the new Euston one that opened in May, for a weekend in June and that had air con hence my wondering if the City Road one did.

I know no other ones ive stayed in (and its quite a few! lol) have had air con so was really pleasantly surprised Euston did, it doesnt mention it on the website either.

I shall email Travelodge and see what they can tell me about their other London based hotels.

    Thanks again,

    Samantha
