non paying bidder!

hello just need some advice regarding a non paying bidder.

the winner of the auction was an ebay newbie 0 feedback and just registered, also a p.o box address.

it is now 2 weeks since the auction ended and i have been palmed off with excuses saying there uni loan got messed up,then they mailed to say the bank transfer had been made, then said there was a further mess up with the loan.

i mailed them and they agreed to pay all listing costs if i can not wait another week.

i replied and said i can not wait any longer so i relisted the item on a 1 day auction, the item sold for £110 extra so i am happy.

can i log a non paying bidder still even though i have relisted the item and it has resold? as the first winner has not responded to the fvf requests

thanks

hi, I think you should have filed the non-paying bidder before you relisted the item. Check to see if the item relisted under the same reference number, if so, as far as Ebay are concerned you have now sold the item and you could only file a NPB against your new buyer if they don't pay.

Still, look on the bright side, your defaulting bidder did you a favour !

No problem at all, after a reasonable amount of time has elapsed you are entitled to relist your item and move on.

You must now go through the NPB process though as that does get your original FVFs back and also will put a strike on the buyers account.
