Held in Nantwich, the show becomes the centre of the cheese universe with every size and type of cheese on display. This world-class event attracts producers from across the globe; all hoping to win the top awards for 2008. Last year’s Supreme Champion was the cheddar ‘Davidstow’ from Cornwall. Davidstow will be back again this year to defend its title and challenge for the Cheese Lover’s Trophy – one of the show’s most prestigious awards.

Thirty thousand visitors attend the show and compare their favourite cheeses against those chosen by the show judges. Ninety of the world’s leading cheese experts taste and deliberate over 2000 entries, before selecting winners for each of the 100 prize categories. There is a show class for every form of cheese, from just made cottage cheese to extra mature cheddar. There will also be the chance to sample the nations favourite cheddar brand, Cathedral City. It all adds up to an experience that anyone who loves cheese simply can’t afford to miss.
