What colour grout?

I'm looking for a bit of advice. Hubby is in the process of laying absolute black granite floor tiles in the kitchen. These are large rectangles laid in a brick effect. We can't decide on what colour grout to use - Hubby thinks grey to show off the brick effect pattern and I think black to make it appear seamless and to match the granite worktops.

Any ideas?

I'm with you - I think the black seamless effect would be nicest! Have a friend who has this sort of flooring and hers have black grout - looks great!

Best of luck with the "difference of opinion" - hope you manage to reach an agreement!

I'd choose black too for the way it looks.

The grouting often ends up black with dirt anyway unless you get down and scrub the floor with a brush on a regular basis. I've just moved into a house that seems to have mortar in the gaps but it's black with dirt I feel sick looking at it. I've scrubbed it up a bit so some bits have gone back to the way they should be. Thankfully we're redoing it all in a week or so.
