Where are you going?
Some areas take euros freely, other areas take sterling. You should only need small sums of turkish lira for the dolmus (bus) and tipping.
I always take sterling and just change what I need when I'm there.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
I only took 8 lira last year - I'd had it from the year before and was determined to spend. It did for my water and breakfast until I could get to the bank and get some lira out
