round-the-world trip travel insurance

I've booked an RTW trip, all the flights are booked together, and all the accommodation is booked totally separately.
I've been trying to find insurance that will cover this. Lots of insurance companies cover for missed departure due to (e.g.) strike, in the UK, or delayed flights out from the UK. The problem is I'm looking for insurance that will cover it worldwide, for multiple flights, not just UK-in/outbound and for accommodation costs that might need to be re-arranged or whatever.
For example, part of my trip involves a plane travel, then a stay overnight in a hotel, then a coach the next morning. If the first plane is delayed overnight, I have to re-book and pay again for the hotel AND the coach. That's the sort of cover I want.
The closest I've found is http://www.axa.co.uk/travelinsurance/index.html - the independent travel cover. Thing is, it claims to cover things like missed flights/connections, but reading the policy document, it still doesn't cover those things really.
