My parents always book there holiday through Thomson and this year have found the hotel they wish to go to: Fiesta Hotel Cala Nova in Es Cana.I have searched and the only places that even quote are Thomson and Portland. The hotel is a Thomson plus hotel and have been quoted £1136 (£568pp) for two weeks half board from 15/09 from Bristol.I know this should go on the Beat my quote board and may do that but really just wanted to know if there are any companies i could check that may compete with the price from Thomson or are they only to book via Thomson themselves or sister company Portland.
Thank you in advance

You could try pricing the flights and hotel seperately using something like Expedia or use Skyscanner for the flights.
Look on Google for the hotel website to see if you can book it direct or through other hotel sites like hotels.com etc.0 -
www.ibizahotelsguide.com/ have the hotel showing for these dates for 1212 euros and they would still need flights/transfers so maybe the thomson/portland price is not so bad
roomsnet.com has it as £1050 just for the hotel0 -
Sent you a pm with details as well as you had it on the quote thread.
It works out at £995 if you go onto Thomson Hotels then add flights and transfer onto booking."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0 -
£955 if you go from Cardiff or Birmingham if either are any goodIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0

Thank you sloppy chops and saveapenny my parents are over the moon.I have sent you a personal message Fiona. How can the same company (thomson) be that much cheaper just by booking the hotel first and adding flights and transfer.Apart from the price is it basically the same package and security than if you did it the conventional way? Thank you so much0

In 2007 I costed up a city break from Manchester to New York with Virgin holidays - it worked out at around £3000.
I used Expedia and got direct flights with Delta and the same hotel as in Virgin brochure for £1440!!
It pays to shop around. :beer:0
