Who is the ISP? If "The remote computer did not respond" check their status on their website or try to connect from your PC. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

OK or normal? If it is them, and going by the error, you were not able to connect to their modem or if you did, then none of their gateways picked you up.its tiscali, checked there service status , all ok
Fix == new ispAfter the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?0 -
Try this, from Tiscali.

@alanwjones, those instructions are not for the dial up service which the op is requesting and whilst contain some useful info, would take some above basic computer knowledge to transpose to be appropriateclick here to achieve nothing!0

the details provided are no where near enough to diagnose what's gone wrong
many questions need to be asked first
1. has the machine been moved recently and are all the cables ok and plugged in to the proper places
2.has the line been ok recently?, no crackling etc been noticed?
3. has the op tried to set up a new dial up connection and checked all details such as correct phone number etc?
I'm sure many other ideas will come up but start there and post backclick here to achieve nothing!0
