we have just been given a canon fs10 camcorder for our wedding present and want to purchase a couple of extra memory cards but i am stuck as i can't work out whether i need a class 2, 4 or 6 rating and there seems to be no info on canon's website

the class rating in the real world only translates to transfer speeds of files.
if it's important to you to transfer files to your comp from the mem card quickly, then choose the highest class available.
if you don't care about speed / time , then take whatever's cheapest
