Anyone know if or how they get recognised during boot/post. Say for example I want to edit the BIOS.
I'm basically thinking about getting the Apple Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard, and know it'll work once in Windows. Am just not sure about before then.

Yeah I've already got that turned off (Past nightmares).
Does the MS keyboard have an on/off switch on it to conserve battery life when not in use?
Also, with your keyboard can you press DEL (or F1 or whatever) and enter the BIOS and controls things. I'm just wondering how the BIOS recognises a bluetooth keyboard when they generally only support PS2 and USB.
I know some bluetooth keyboards have a "handler" usb adapter, so the bluetooth keyboard is in theory treated as a USB keyboard. I'm not sure if the Apple Wireless Keyboard has this though."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

Heres my simplified answers, i tried the del during boot up and it does take me into the bios no probs, it came with its own usb adaptor but i can use it via my belkin one too - that was when i got the halt on boot up. As for the usb/ps2 bit i dont really know too much but i had bought a wireless microsoft keyboard with the normal green and purple (ps2?) and windows or my machine refused to see it and would only recognise it with a ps2 to usb adaptor so i called microsoft who were so apologetic and the kind people sent me a bluetooth keyboard and mouse set with 0.00 charge:j my first major freebie.
PS No on/off switch, i can log off or send it to sleep from keyboard but thats about it.
This is the keyboard they sent. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
