Built in wardrobe doors

I would appreciate any advice on what material to use for 2.2m high bottom running wardrobe doors. I have been told to use 18mm MDF but this seems to be very heavy and susceptible to warping.

I assume you are making this yourself? Rather than buying an off the shelf item. in which case I would suggest you use 6mm MDF or Ply with a border of 18mm and maybe two horizontal bars the same (all about 100mm wide) - you should rout a 6mm slot in the side of the 18mm and glue the 6mm into it - play with the corners design til you know what will look right - shaker style.
An alternative is to go to Ikea (or similar) and see if there is a standard door that you can use (all be it by jiging it a bit )0
