Hi,
A group of about 12 of us are booked on the Eurostar next week for Paris. However, we haven't got any plans at the moment as to what to do when we get there. We leave Friday, return Sunday.
What could we do / where should we go in Paris to have a memorable weekend? Also ideas for tricks on the stag welcome...

Paris is not expensive as long as you don't go to the expensive places. There are plenty of cheap good resturants and bars.
As for what to do what kind of Stag Weekend are you looking for? I am guessing by the fact your going to Paris its not going to be the traditional tied to a lampost affair. The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.

erm. not so sure a huge amount of thought put into why Paris.... but that's where we are going anyway. Having visited myself (once) I know it is really expensive, so would appreciate any info on cheaper drinking venues etc.0

just up from the louvre there are some gardens which have a funfair along - food is quite cheap there. buy Time out for Paris. There is a big fountain and you can hire little wooden boats - quite chillingI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -

I would thoroughly recommend this one - many a night spent hanging out there when I lived in Paris. Great crowd, young and old, students, foreigners, nice mix of people, hip, dark and dingy and cheap sangria what more could you ask for! If not try happy hours in one of the irish bars that are always a good place to hang out and meet people/ have a laugh if that is what you are looking for.
Also a fab restaurant on the Ile St Louis that is great for big groups/ fun evening - I'm trying to think of the name..... I'll get back to you!
Found it http://www.qype.fr/place/107608-Nos-Ancetres-les-Gaulois-Paris seem to remember many courses of traditional french food and 'vin à volonte' (as much wine as you could drink!)
Also restaurant chain called Chez papa dotted around Paris http://www.chez-papa.info/ It's hard guessing the kind of thing you like - any more info....?0
