Have to be level and not rock side to side, if they sense movement it wont go into high speed (makes things worse)
Unbalanced load ie 1 large towel0 -
Definitely filter blocked. Had the same happen here this week. Just protect the floor with some old towels and unscrew the filter and remove all the disgusting gunk!Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0

If the filter clean doesn't fix your problem, then the carbon brushes that transfer electricity to the moving part of the motor could be worn out, that will seriously reduce the speed and power of your machine it will still turn to agitate washing but not get up enough speed to remove any water from the clothes, this should be covered in any warranty but is easy to fix if you can use a screwdriver the replacement brushes for my zanussi were about £25
Bought parts of t'internet using Make, Model & Serial no.
I unplugged the machine pulled it away from the wall
Removed the top panel
Undid 2 small clips hold the brushes in place on rear of motor
Removed brushes and unplug wire at connectors
Fitted new brushes
Replaced top panel
10 minute job
18 months daily use no problem
I wonder how much a repair engineer would charge?
Don't let them tell you its the controller without checking the brushes first0
