Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Goodmorning Mrs Moneyspinner, I have stayed in Paignton a few times for a short break. I catch the london train and go none stop to Paignton in approx 4 hours with my teen son. We stay in BB close to the station (save on paying taxi fare). I do my home work first - get the Torbay holiday brochure and look through. Then look on line, you can often see the bedrooms. The last one I stayed in had cotton sheets and quilts. We had a double bed and single in one room (to save cost). The bathroom was not that good though. It was app. £25 per adult.
    Best wishes...Julie

Try looking online in Teignmouth. It is a nice town and is about 15 miles from Paignton. I don't know of any accommodation specifically but when I am in Teignmouth I see a lot of B&Bs etc. Might be a bit cheaper than Torbay itself. It is also handy for East Devon if you want to explore that way.
  • thanks both - we will be taking your advice - also have the idea of renting a campervan for a week local to home and maybe making a bigger event of it.
    will keep you posted
