We've just come back from an 18 day tour of Ontario. The fireworks at the falls are good, but we were in Ottawa for Canada Day, and the fireworks there were the best we've ever seen.
I would agree that 2 days at Niagara is plenty. We had a 12 year old and 10 year old. We did the Great gorge adventure pass, Maid of the mist, Behind the falls, White water walk , Butterfly Kingdom, and People mover bus ( just under £70 for 4 of us). We also did the Aero cars on that day. On day 2 , we used our hire car to go to Niagara on the Lake, and used vouchers in the adventure pass to go to the Adam Beck Hydro power station, Totem pole museum, the gardens at the Butterfly Kingdom, and Laura Secord museum. We stayed at The Sheraton Fallsview, which was fabulous. We were on the 30th floor, and the view of the falls was fantastic. I booked a really good package including all our meals.Message me if you want more details. The Fallsview Sheraton is out of the touristy area, but you get a shuttle pass for the casinos, which takes you to Clifton Hill. The Sheraton on the Falls is where the action is at Clifton Hill, but I hated that area.
We did 2 nights at Niagara,5 in Toronto.3 in Kingston, 3 in Ottawa, and 2 near Huntsville.Toronto is very safe, but there are lots of beggars.
We had loads to do, and every place was very different. My kids fave place was near Huntsville. We were in a lodge type place on a lake with about 10 units and had free access to kayaks, a boat, water trampoline. Most people had brought their own boats, so my two lived in the boats. They said that was the best place they'd ever been on holiday.
We booked flights and some of the hotels with Canadian Affair, as they could get cheaper hotel prices than I could. Some I booked myself.
We had a fantastic time, and I'm sure you will too.
Happy to provide any more info if you want it.0
