synchronise outlook express/windows live mail

I have a web mail account with heart-internet.co.uk, and I have managed to sychronise it with outlook express, everything seems to work okay apart from the dozen or so spam emails a day.
My wife has bought an asus laptop and it has windows live mail and I just can't get it to sychronise with OE etc. it keeps asking for user name and password, when I put the password I used to set up the OE account it refuses it.
Should it work with OE etc?
