Sainsbury Misprice/Overcharge Policy

Went on the lookout for PG TIPS Wallace and Grommit mugs last night popped into Sainsburys to check. Also got some £2 for 3 domestos with 50p coupon on cap. Anyway, did not get Wallace and Grommit but out of curiosity thought I'd look at meat aisle and see if Mr S was as bad as Mr T. Things were looking pretty impressive until I reach the large joints which were both wrong topside and silverside, on offer £1kg off at £6.08, £5.83 respectively, guess what they were priced at £7.08 and £6.83 respectively, with maybe 25 joints in total. Think these were prices but for sure they did not have £1kg off.
Seems that this is a problem in MR S's as well.
What is there Overcharge policy ? If it's not very good then a little sortie from trading standards might be in order.

Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.
EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items.

No incentive not to report with Sainsbury's as they will merely offer you the difference and nothing more.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Yep - Sainsbury are very mean. But they do have great bargains about 8pm and the offers still apply0

Will be reporting Sainsbury's to trading standards regarding the mispriced items (on special offer !) . What is the process, will telephone conversation suffice, think there is a internet web site to formally detail complaint, or does it have to be in writing.
Seems to me these supermarkets think they can get away with overcharging on whatever basis they like and get away with it !! :mad:Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

we have been overcharged numerous times at sainsburys and usually only realise when we get home.
It is usually on products that are buy one get on half price or two for £3 etc...
Despite several emails I have been offered no compensation- not even the price difference!Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -

Thats bang out of order !! Also highly illegal as well.
I am utterly amazed at these supermarkets, billion pound profits and absolutely no price integrity or legal integrity whatsoever ! :mad:Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

I've noticed that since I've used this site my husband has started checking all his reciepts, we havent had a mis charge at Sainburys yet
we did have a very nice posh dinner from their top end chiller ready meals for 25p the other day, as we shopped late, gettig the reduced bargains0 -
I've had 2 misprices at Sainsburys in the past, both on the same thing where they choose the wrong type of pear on the weighing scales. The first time they apologised and offered me all of the money back, the second time they offered the difference but I insisted they offer the full refund as per the last time. Would be good to get an official stance on this.0

often their meat at £1 off says that it is included in the price that is shown.
Hope that makes sense! Late night last night!!!!0 -

I check my Sainsbury's receipt very carefully. On several occaisons the bogof hasn't been applied and I have been charged for the two items.
They simply refund the extra spent.0
